Customer challenge
Miljøgartneriet operates a 77,000 m² greenhouse, producing vegetables in a challenging Nordic climate. Without a central heating system, the grower needed a solution to maintain stable growing conditions year-round. Achieving consistent light levels while managing energy consumption and scaling production required a flexible lighting solution that could adapt to both crop needs and changing daylight conditions.
Solution
Signify has supplied Philips Horti LED lamps to the 70,000m² greenhouse. The solution enables Miljøgartneriet to create optimal growing conditions by delivering the right spectrum and intensity at the right time. This supports plant photosynthesis and development, allowing Miljøgartneriet to control crop growth, improve planning and increase productivity. The integration with the GrowWise control also enables flexible adjustments based on crop needs and natural daylight, ensuring consistent performance throughout the year.
