Den Berk Délice has partnered with Philips to enhance tomato cultivation by implementing Philips’ dimmable LED lighting technology. This innovation aims to boost plant growth and improve operational efficiency.

Customer challenge
Den Berk Délice aimed to optimize tomato cultivation in their greenhouses. By upgrading to Philips LED modules, they increased light output to 245 micromol. The goal was to enhance plant vigor and accelerate growth. This upgrade has led to more predictable and sustainable cultivation, with anticipated improvements in both production and efficiency.
Intelligent lighting solution
To meet their cultivation goals, Den Berk Délice adopted dimmable LED modules that deliver 245 micromol of light output. This resulted in faster plant growth and improved crop quality. The integration of the Hoogendoorn IIVO climate computer enables precise control over lighting and climate conditions, further optimizing greenhouse performance. This seamless system ensures a consistent light supply, fostering predictability in production. With continuous advancements in LED technology, Den Berk Délice is well-positioned for increased productivity and long-term sustainability.

Philips GreenPower LED toplighting compact allows you to easily switch to LED lighting, replacing your existing HPS set-up, or building a new installation. The high light output of up to 2650 μmol/s or high efficacy of up to 3.7 μmol/J helps you effectively optimize crop growth, enhance crop quality and cut operational costs. With a wide beam or standard beam you can cater for any greenhouse height and the dimming possibility allows you to dim the grow lights to 10% of its maximum output to increase flexibility.
