There is a growing consensus that airborne transmission is the primary infection route of SARS-CoV-2. There is evidence that ventilation interventions can help reduce the number of infectious viral particles in the air. In most healthcare facilities the existing ventilation levels are up to 10 ACH and thus insuffcient to prevent transmission of SARS-COV-2. In healthcare the expected recommendations for disinfection purposes are 15-25 ACH. Philips UV-C Upper air devices are the only known air disinfection solution able to achieve the expected recommended 15-20 ACH, without draft. Its efficiency is proven in real-life setting in a laboratory environment with aerosolized SARS-COV-21
