The hall were the lighting is renewed is used for collecting products from pallet racks. The primary objective was to install the most even lighting possible, with no gloomy areas between the shelves.
The lighting was renewed for an area of 2,700 m2 at the Carlo Casagrande CC logistics center. In the previous installation, light fixtures were partly positioned over the shelves. The lighting was uneven and "patchy". In many places, the spaces between the shelves remained gloomy.
The primary objective was to install the most even lighting possible. It was also important that the new solution was energy efficient with a long service life and the quality of light had a significant impact on the choice of solution. LED luminaires satisfied all these requirements so the selection process focused on comparing various LED luminaires.
"From the beginning, we knew that LED luminaires would provide the greatest benefits. We therefore excluded traditional solutions in the early stages," said Janne Montonen.
