The primary objective of the City.People.Light award, organized by Philips Lighting and LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) is to reward urban lighting projects that best demonstrate how to ‘re-humanize’ urban environments through light, boost city livability and explore ways to maximize sustainability. Click here to learn more about the City.People.Light award.
Each year a professional and independent jury decides which 3 cities out of all submissions have managed to accomplish this ‘re-humanization’ the best. Next to the prizes given away by the jury, there is also a People’s Choice Award organized, accessible to anyone who would like to vote for their favorite lighting project.
Your vote counts – tell us which of the 15 urban lighting projects deserves the People's Choice award this year! Voting will be open till October 31st 2016!
Click on ‘Read full article’ to learn more about the projects, and once you made up your mind, click on the ‘I vote for this project’ button. Everyone can only vote once.
About the voting
The votes for the People’s Choice award will come from two places. First via the Philips Lighting website, accessible to everyone to vote. Voting on the website will be available till October 31st 2016.
Next to the website, votes of LUCI members at the Annual General Meeting on November 4th in Seoul , South-Korea will also be collected. Each LUCI member can vote for their favourite project.
Each of the above will have a 50% weight in the final score, ensuring the opinion of the public and the opinion of LUCI members will have an equal say in the final raking.
The winner of the People’s Choice award will be announced after November 4th.
