Architectural illumination of iconic Iskcon Temple

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, known colloquially as the Hare Krishna movement, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindu religious organization & was primarily established to re-spiritualize society and reach out Vedic knowledge to all sections of society. Located off the East Coast Road at the Hare Krishna land, Sholinganallur. A massive temple Spread over an area of over 1.5 acres, constructed on five levels approx. 7,000 square feet construction.

Iskcon has more than 500 centers all over the world. The Chennai chapter of Iskcon in the year 2012. It has a lot of unique features. The temple required a lighting transformation in 2017 for tourist attraction and to have colorful celebrations on different occasions. Playing colorful on occasions authorities wanted basic colors during the normal days.

The team approached the temple during the drive to target the iconic buildings in & around the city with a simulated view of the temple & convinced the trust bodies for the requirement of highlighting the beautiful architecture of the building. The objective was to provide a new look to the temple with basic colors and to celebrate festivities in much Happier and colorful way.

Impact on the end user

More pilgrimage footfalls and beautification of the temple has further enlighted its rich and heritage culture & has attracted tourist to visit the temple to see the lighting as well.

Time bound & professionally managed execution by Signify & Midas teams. Teams presented the concept of the facade lighting & internal beautification with great detailing which appealed us. We are happy to see the final results .The devotees appricated the new change in the temple lighting and hence requested to chage in other Iskcon temples across India.
