Objectives of the end-customer
The customer wanted to have an innovative and connected lighting system for his stadium Innovative as it is the first stadium in Germany equipped with LED Floodlighting Connected as it should not only illuminate the pitch. The floodlighting as well as the moving heads should be integrated into the current control and entertainment network as well as be synchronized with e.g. the advertising board/ videowall/ sound system for a full connected multimedia system.

Role of the partner
Lichttechnik Hessling helped to realize this project as a subcontractor by supporting us with his technical expertise in designing, install and commission the system.

The Volkswagen Arena is first stadium in Germany’s top football league to fully replace existing pitch lighting with Philips LED technology.
Flicker-free super slow-motion for HD TV and spectacular lighting effects for pre-match light shows.
New lighting system includes moveable spotlights that enhance the stadium entertainment experience.
