    Description
    Alshaya group is the home of more than 80 franchise world's best-known retail brands – including Starbucks, H&M, Mothercare, Debenhams, American Eagle Outfitters, P.F. Chang's, The Cheesecake Factory, Victoria's Secret, Boots, Pottery Barn, KidZania and much more.

    They decided to build new head quarter in Kuwait, consisting of two towers, one for their HQ and the other for Kuwait Four Seasons Hotel.

    The concept around a regional architectural tradition, resulting in a contextual building that successfully represents the Four Seasons brand, as well as the local environment. Composed of three distinct buildings including an office tower, hotel tower and podium, the development is unified by a traditional Arabian carved wood latticework window treatment that offers significant solar control and air circulation. The geometry of the wood shading fins covers multiple building façades, creating a strong, visual distinction from neighboring buildings, while enhancing climatic performance for the occupied spaces.

     

    Almulla Engineering in coordination with Philips team developed the automation control system for lighting and shades in Common areas, ballrooms, meeting rooms, spa, restaurants and back of the house. In addition, Integration for Façade lighting as well.
     

    Project objectives
    Power consumption reduction using multi-sensors in common areas, central remote monitoring and control for the whole buildings and scene settings for luxurious restaurants and entertainment areas were the ultimate goal of the project that achieved all in a convenient cost and clever engineering.

    The buildings are equipped with a state-of-the-art, computer addressable lighting management system providing flexible and efficient control and management of lighting and shades through control modules, floor controllers, lighting routers and head-end PC with graphical software. The system to allow for the connection of local devices including presence detectors, multi sensors, photocells and digital switches.

    Achieved the ultimate goal of flexible central control and monitoring, with maximum energy saving and localized scene settings
