Recently, the municipality has started developing the city center to make it livelier, greener, and more vital. A Masterplan ‘Veghel Centrum 2030’ has been drafted with respect for historical routes and buildings and with focus on qualitative growth and quality of the public space. Part of the ambition outlined in the plan is to come up with innovative solutions. This ambition is realized by interactive streets where dynamic light and sound effects are used to create a true experience for visitors related to events or happenings in the center. 

Using an interactive platform, a public space has been created that is no longer static, but adapts to the needs and context of the center and can be tailored to support any event or happening. The combination of colored LED light, sound effects and interactivity, but also the addition of vegetation, stimulates the senses of visitors entering the center of Veghel and gives them a welcoming and pleasant experience. In the end this will contribute to a revitalized center, a high level of facilitation and a high-quality public environment.
