also provides atmospheric, warm white light. The efficient energy consumption of LED lighting is naturally an extra benefit. This lighting has exceeded all of my expectations. And the guests love the new LED lighting too.”

Interestingly, the architect did not initially consider LED or Philips an option. “It conjures up an image of cool light and high costs”, said Wilfried Feliers. “However, we chose Philips because they showed us that LED lighting can also provide atmospheric, warm, white light. And the efficient consumption of LED lighting is naturally an extra benefit
Once we had the green light to go ahead, Philips set about transforming the foyer. We installed MASTER LEDspot lamps and LuxSpace luminaires around the entrance, welcoming in guests with warm white light. We also hung Celino luminaires above the reception desk, providing clear visibility for both staff and guests. In the offices, the same MASTER LEDspot lamps were used to create a refreshing ambience that keeps staff alert and focused.
The transformation continued in the restaurant and bar. We added ‘invisible’ eW cove lighting under the counter and behind the shelves, creating eye-catching color effects. For overhead lighting, the eW Downlight was used to give the room an enjoyable modern ambience.
LED light has bought the new areas to life, and the hotel will save money thanks to the low-energy consumption and low maintenance requirements of the fixtures.
