Breitner Tower
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Luminous textile in restaurant area
The Project
The iconic Breitner Tower in Amsterdam has been home to Philips’ headquarters since 2002. Refurbishing the restaurant gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our new, state-of-the-art lighting concept and create a softer and more inspirational atmosphere that staff would enjoy relaxing in.
Luminous textile panels were the centrepiece for the new interior design. The fabric panels, with their soft textures and subtle colours, look beautiful in their own right. But it is the dynamic content that is played across them really helps to bring the space alive with a delightful, sensory experience.
A dreamlike ambience is created with diffused moving images that evoke memories, feelings and emotions to soothe and inspire. The images are completely fluid, changing in colour, content and pace to provide endless interest and a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to luminous textile, the restaurant has been transformed from a cold, formal space into a vibrant and welcoming place where staff now love to meet and linger over a meal or drinks.
