Eric Rondolat has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Philips Lighting, the global leader in lighting, since the company was listed on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange (ticker symbol: LIGHT) on May 27, 2016.
He was Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Lighting at Royal Philips from April 2012 to May 27, 2016.
Prior to joining Philips, Eric had an international career with Schneider Electric, serving in both mature and emerging in-market roles.
In January 2010, Eric was appointed Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric’s Power Asia-Pacific Business, based in China, and from 2006 to 2009 was Executive Vice President of the Power Business Unit.
In 2004, Eric moved to France to become Senior Vice President in the Customers and Markets Division of Schneider Electric, having previously served as Country Manager in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Eric holds an Engineering degree and a master’s degree in International Marketing. He was born in Morocco in 1966 and holds Italian and French nationality.
As per September 1, 2016 Mr. Rougeot joins from Technicolor (formerly known as Thomson), the technology company serving the media industry. He was Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2015, and also Head of Strategy and Portfolio Management as of 2012. He was appointed Deputy CEO, President Technology business group in 2015.
Before Technicolor, he was Group Controller of France Telecom – Orange. He has also held various senior financial positions, as well as roles in investor relations and corporate communications.
A French national, Mr. Rougeot holds a post-graduate degree in International Finance from the Paris IX-Dauphine University and is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques, both in Paris, France.
*The Philips Lighting Supervisory Board will propose the appointment of Mr. Rougeot to the Board of Management at the next General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held in May 2017.
