People’s desks are a reflection of the way they work. Some office workers like to pile things up on their desks; others prefer a clear desk space. In the same way, people prefer different kinds of lighting for their individual workspace. But more are more offices are moving towards larger, mutual working areas in which many colleagues share the same lighting.

In Personal control for open-office lighting, you will see how recent studies have explored and evaluated the benefits and drawbacks of sharing lighting control in an office setting. We will also look at the design considerations that come into play, as well as the impact of consensus control on the potential for energy savings.
