About Luminous Talks

Luminous Talks is a collaboration between Philips and Parsons The New School for Design, started in 2012. Luminous Talks brings together architects, lighting designers, academics, industry leaders and others to discuss innovations and current topics in the lighting design industry. Luminous Talks involves a series of educational events that include public talks, online discussion forums, dedicated video channels, online webinars and more – offering multiple opportunities to learn, connect, inspire and to be inspired.

Lighting has been an important part of design education at Parsons since the 1970s, when the school launched the first graduate program in this field. Today, the MFA in Lighting Design is one of the leading programs in the world to study the theories and practice affiliated with lighting design. For more information, visit this site.
