The foundation is led by a Management Board comprised of four members with a majority independent from Philips Lighting.

The Management Board delegates the daily operations to the Foundation Director who reports and is accountable to the Board. This Foundation Director is supported by an operations team seconded to the Foundation by Philips Lighting. In addition, other Philips Lighting employees may support the Foundation on an ad-hoc, part-time or voluntary basis.

The Management Board has appointed an Advisory Committee, which advises the Management Board on strategic and operational issues and activities. The Advisory Committee consists of Philips Lighting employees representing various markets and other business expertise.


The Philips Lighting Foundation will receive annual funding from Philips Lighting.Philips Lighting will also provide in-kind funding through the provision of expertvolunteers, community volunteers, products and services. Additionally, PhilipsLighting Foundation envisages to raise funds from external entities.

In addition to dedicated and occasional staff, Philips Lighting also supports PhilipsLighting Foundation through the provision of office space, meeting space, IT andtravel support and the hosting of Philips Lighting Foundation website on the PhilipsLighting servers.

Who and how we fund?

The Philips Lighting Foundation funds, supports and initiates projects identifiedby its NGO partners where a Philips Lighting country organization is present andwill be able to assist in localizing community development initiatives.
