Lighting, beyond illumination

My days are planned sometimes weeks in advance. A typical day usually begins at 6:45AM with a 5.5 mile run. Around 7:30 I review emails that have come in overnight to address any pressing issues followed by a healthy breakfast. During breakfast I reflect on upcoming meetings and sales calls, identifying the needs / talking points for each. As the day moves forward, between calls I handle technical requests as well as RFQ’s for unfolding opportunities. By the end of the day, I have clear path to maximize my time and opportunities moving forward. Other days you can find me boarding a plane at 6:30 AM to our Key SE accounts. Traveling to customer sites is an important part of success, allowing us to have face to face meetings and build our business.

In my short time at Philips I have been able to enter accounts that were otherwise impenetrable. After 3 months I was able to take a Tier 2 OEM from $98,000 in 2013 to finish 2014 at $3 million. This account is on track to do $6 million in 2015. As a whole, my territory grew 45% in 2014 as compared to the previous year. This same territory is on track to net at $12 million by years end.
