It’s time to switch
To reduce the environmental impact of energy-using products, those that do not meet energy-efficiency requirements will be phased out. The timetable for the discontinuation of inefficient lamps means that TL-D standard lamps (/33, /54) are no longer permitted. T12 lamps will be phased out at the end of 2011 and Mercury vapour lamps at the end of 2014. Fluorescent conventional gear (EM) will not be permitted after 2016.
