State of the art interactive LED display installed in Lelystad, The Netherlands
|
This month Philips has finished installing a VidiwallTM Delta, 20-5000 S (6.4m x 4.16m) on special poles at the main square of Lelystad. The display is also equipped with sound and a special camera system. This commercial initiative originates from a media company called "Streetcaster" from Amsterdam. Their philosophy is to deploy multiple interactive displays at main squares of key cities and offer a balanced mix of commercial and infotainment. Game consoles can be connected to the system for games to be played live on the 26sqm display enhancing the total experience. In addition, SMS messages can be submitted to the system giving the audience a sense of "influence" on the content of the broadcast. A large number of municipalities in The Netherlands have shown interest in the Streetcaster concept.
