LED Lighting

Personalized hospitality

Style and trends are as important in the hospitality industry as they are in fashion. Popular tastes change regularly and change quickly. Solid-state lighting offers unique capabilities for decorative and dynamic effects that can be changed just as fast.

In cafes, bars and restaurants, LEDs are already being widely used for sign lighting as they are smaller, more robust, longer lasting, cheaper to run and safer than neon tubes. Nightspots are also increasingly using LEDs to create an exciting and colorful atmosphere to differentiate themselves and attract customers.

For hotels, sustainability is now a vital issue. As a 3 W LED downlighter is equivalent to a 20 W halogen alternative, solid-state lighting makes great environmental sense. It not only creates an appealing ambience, it contributes directly to your sustainability program. What’s more, LED fittings cannot easily be removed – a real boon for hotel managers who are well aware that something that can be removed can be stolen!

LEDs are already being installed in guestroom lamps, corridors, reception and leisure areas. At the moment, solid-state lighting is most common where color is required. But LED technology developments are continually improving efficiency for warm-white light, making solid-state lighting a viable alternative to halogen and fluorescent lamps in general lighting within a few years.
